Vanessa Oude-Reimerink is a soprano and teaching artist based in Waterdown, Ontario, serving the areas of Burlington, Hamilton, Milton, and Oakville. Her energetic teaching style generates a warm and inclusive environment for maximum creativity and growth. With unwavering enthusiasm, Vanessa creates custom lessons that are tailored to the individual needs of each student and brings fun and unique ways to help find freedom in the voice. Her students learn how to build a strong vocal technique through breath support, alignment, and released vocal production. With a mixture of dramatic exercises, movement, and gesture, Vanessa guides her students in strengthening character development, performance style, and confidence.
Vanessa has had an extensive career performing leading roles in opera and music theatre across the globe. Vanessa is currently pursuing a Doctor of Musical Arts in Voice Performance at the University of Toronto. She holds an Honours Bachelor of Music in Voice Performance from Western University and a Master of Music Performance in Opera and Voice from McGill University. Vanessa was also a member of the prestigious Vancouver Opera and Calgary Opera Young Artist Programs. Outside of the studio, Vanessa loves spending time outdoors with her family, yoga, and cooking.
